The Quarters Training Facility was packed with excitement, activity and chatter as the first team squad returned for the first day of pre-season on Monday.
Bristol Rovers players returned from their off-season to undergo screening and scanning as the new head of medical Andrew Proctor, head of performance Tom Short and the physiotherapy and strength and condition teams checked the wellbeing of each player and set their data benchmarks for the coming campaign.
A busy morning filled with testing was intertwined with conversation and laughter as the likes of Chris Martin, Scott Sinclair, Antony Evans, Connor Taylor and others shared stories from their summer break.
The seven new signings already confirmed this summer, including Isaac Hutchinson, Ruell Sotiriou, Taylor Moore and Joel Senior, also met their new squad mates for the first time and were introduced to the day-to-day life of a Bristol Rovers player.
The involved players underwent cardiac checks, concussion tests, and physiotherapy screening before working in the gym. After a short lunch, the players were out on the new pitches at The Quarters for a first session of the 2024/25 pre-season schedule.
