SIGNED POPPY SHIRT AUCTION WINNER

29 November 2016

Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to extend their thanks to Kevin Sansom who won our auction for the signed poppy shirt.

The club auctioned off a match worn shirt Stuart Sinclair shirt, signed by the whole squad with the proceeds going directly to the Royal British Legion.

Kevin won the auction with a staggering bid of £1,272.

When we spoke to Kevin today, he told us that he bought the shirt with the help of his five-year-old son, Trevelyan.

"We bought the shirt because it was signed by players from the first team but also, because of where the money was going.

"I think it's important the next generation realise the importance of the poppy and what it means, so the sacrifices that were made are never forgotten."
