BURY F.C MATCH PREVIEW

9 December 2016

Rovers are in SkyBet League One action this Saturday against Bury F.C.

Team News: Rovers will be without defender Jake Clarke-Salter, who is still recovering from an arm injury sustained in our fixture against Charlton at the Mem.

Darrell's View: "We have to treat the game as another game of football that we want to pick up a positive result in to get ourselves back on the right track."

"The players have a clear understanding of what I expect from them and at the minute I'm disappointed at an aspect of our game which is conceding sloppy goals and that needs to change."

Dangerman - James Vaughan: Born in Birmingham, it was in Merseyside where the striker started his professional career when he joined Everton in 2005.

Vaughan's stay at Goodison Park lasted six years and included loan spells at Derby County, Leicester City and Crystal Palace, before signing for Norwich in May 2011.

A loan spell at Huddersfield Town followed for the majority of the 2012–13 season, before making the move permanent at the end of the season.

After spending two-and-a-half seasons with Huddersfield and scoring seventeen goals in just over fifty appearances, the striker joined Birmingham City on loan in November 2015 and his stay was made permanent at the end of the 2015–16 season.

The forward joined Bury in August 2016 and has contributed nine goals so far this season, including a brace in Bury's last outing against Millwall.

Last Time Out: Bury's last visit to the Mem was a 1-1 draw in November 2013, where a crowd of just over five-thousand watched the two sides go head-to-head.

Tickets: Supporters can Pay on the Day at the Mem. Early bird tickets are available up until midnight on Friday.
