Rovers have today signed young Chelsea goalkeeper Sam Walker on loan.
The 20-year-old will be with Rovers until January 2nd, and is eligible to play in tonight’s Capital One Cup clash against Ipswich.
Sam joined Chelsea as a school boy from Milwall in 2007 and by 2009 he was the first choice keeper for the Chelsea youth team.
In March 2011 he joined Barnet on loan, making his professional debut against Chesterfield.
That summer he agreed to join Northampton on a season long loan, but he was recalled by Chelsea in December when the Cobblers signed another goalkeeper.
In January of this year he joined Yeovil Town until the end of the season, making 20 appearances.
