ACADEMY MANAGER TOM CURTIS TO LEAVE CLUB

10 November 2014

Bristol Rovers would like to announce the departure of Its Academy Manager Tom Curtis.

Tom is to take up a position with the English FA as a Youth coach Educator, which will see him continue in Youth Development working with coaches and young players in the country’s Academy system.

Tom has been with us for two years and has overseen the development of the Academy coaching programme and the introduction of the EPPP (Elite Players Performance Programme) into the Academy.

He has been involved in the development of players such as Tom Lockyer, Matthew Macey and Oliver Mehew, and has helped enhance the reputation of the Academy at our club as one of the best and most productive in the UK.

Bristol Rovers is committed to continuing and building on its already successful Academy programme.

Jonathan Henderson, the Academy’s current Head of Coaching will take over as Academy Manager until the end of the season to provide the best transition possible for players and parents in the system.

All of us at Bristol Rovers would like to wish Tom the best of luck in his future role and thank him for his hard work over the last two years.
