PROMOTION TROPHY VISITS ASHLEY DOWN SCHOOL

21 May 2015

Bristol Rovers newly acquired Vanarama Conference promotion trophy took a minor detour today to visit students at Ashley Down Primary School.

The trophy was present for the schools presentation at the end of their annual sports week where students take part in various sporting activities throughout the school.

Ashley Down's Head of Physical Education Steve Lewis told us "It was so generous of our friends at Bristol Rovers to provide the highlight to our 12th Annual Sports Week Celebration event by bringing down the Conference Play-Off trophy. This meant so much to the legion of Rovers fans in the school community.

Adam Tutton, Bristol Rovers head of Education said "Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to have been able to support the pupils and parents of Ashley Down school by helping present awards at their Annual Sports Week celebration. Our close working relationships with local schools is at the heart of our Community Trust. At Bristol Rovers Football Club we're delighted to be able to offer the pupils the chance to have their picture taken with the Vanarama Conference promotion trophy.

The trophy will now go back into a safe place at the Memorial Stadium and will be getting polished up for Monday's Open Top Bus Tour.
