PICK UP A COPY OF OUR MATCHDAY PROGRAMME

19 December 2014

Our matchday programme,‘The Pirate’, for the game against Gateshead, contains all the usual news and views and costs just £3.

It’s packed with many features you won’t have seen on our website.

Manager Darrell Clarke pens his own notes, and this week we catch up with youth and reserve team match reports as well as a gust feature from a Gateshead supporter.

The two major player interviews are with Stuart Sinclair and Neal Trotman, while the featured player in this issue’s centre spread is Daniel Leadbitter, who hails from the north east.

There’s news from the Supporters Club, Young Pirates, and Helpline, while the Fanzone page gives all of you an opportunity to participate, so if you have a birthday or anniversary or anything else you would like us to mention in the next issue, then please get in touch.

In our history section Stephen Byrne looks back at Rovers in the Victorian era and if you are able to add anything, by way of information or photos to illustrate these articles, please get in touch.

As well as that, the history pages feature season 1988/89 and we also look at programmes from that season as well as a look at what we were listening to back then.

In addition, you can discover what football supporters were reading back in 1956 and fast forward to season 1994/95 as Rovers went on a journey that would eventually lead to Wembley.

There’s an eclectic mix of articles from a wide range of contributors, all of them Rovers supporters, so if you haven’t previously purchased a matchday programme when you’ve come to a game, try it tomorrow –

you might be pleasantly surprised!
