Manager on Turley's decision to join another club
Rovers target Jamie Turley has today signed for rival Vanarama Conference club Eastleigh.Commenting on Jamie’s decision, Rovers boss Darrell Clarke said;
“We gave Jamie an opportunity to train with us to rebuild his fitness, with a view to him signing a contract with us.
“The offer of a contract was subject to a satisfactory medical examination.
“However our medical team were concerned about the nature of the injury to his arm and we were awaiting further tests before completing the signing.
"We won't take a chance on a player; they need to pass a very thorough medical before signing for us.
“Jamie has exercised his right to join another club which is very disappointing."
