Striker talks about the weekend off
Rovers face another blank Saturday tomorrow following the postponement of the Braintree Town fixture and Nathan Blissett tells us that it is a really strange feeling not having a game to prepare for."It is a very odd one especially for the second time in quick succession but you try and fill your time but it is pretty refreshing to have a weekend to yourself but you still need to keep yourself fit and active so we are raring to go next weekend against Dartford.
Last weekend's goalless draw with Woking proved to be a very frustrating afternoon for the Rovers forwards with Blissett saying that the team missed that 'little bit' in the final third.
"It was difficult not having that killer ball or that little bit of luck that you sometimes need to get the all important goal.
"Woking is a tough place to go and their home record is one of the best in the league so we knew it was going to be hard but that is done now and we have to focus on the next game.
Blissett's strike partner for the game Matty Taylor had two efforts ruled out by the linesman but the big man thought that both goals should have counted.
"The first one came into me and their defender tackled me and basically played Matty in, it was a great through ball from him and Matty finished it but the referee said it came off me which I was confident that it didn't.
"The second one I got the ball down and over to Matty and I would have to say having seen it again he looks onside from the replays.
Rovers are now without a home game until 7th February when they entertain Lincoln at the Mem and Nathan is expecting a full house for that game.
"When we eventually get a game back at the Mem I would think the place will be packed but our away form has been decent so far this season especially since I've been here anyway.
"We've picked up points in these games and will obviously be looking to do the same again next Saturday.
"We need to keep doing what we have been doing and Barnet's lead will hopefully disappear because we will keep going until the end of the season.
"There are other teams around us but I think if we take care of our own business then we will be there or there abouts at the end of the season.
