ALFRETON MATCH PACK

11 November 2014

A closer look at today's opponents

Bristol Rovers return to Vanarama Conference action as they take the trip to Derbyshire to take on Alfreton Town at the Impact Arena.

Opposition:
Afreton currently sit in the relegation places in the Conference Premier table having collected 16 points from their opening 18 games however the Reds have claimed six points from their last three games including an impressive 4-2 victory at home to Torquay.

Dangerman - Karl Hawley: The former Carlisle forward signed a one year deal with Alfreton in September 2014 having previosuly had spells at Torquay and Scunthorpe. Hawley has found the back of the net three times in ten appearances this season for the Reds, most recently getting on the scoresheet twice against former club Torquay.

Darrell’s View:
“Tuesday night is going to be completely different from the weekend, slopey pitch, boggy so we need to be ready for that.

“Anything can come into play, so I need to make sure that I pick the correct team for that game.

“Nicky Law will have a big physical team, they will be chucking balls into the box.

“At some of these places you might need to grind out the win and make sure you get the three points on offer.

Team News: Andy Monkhouse continues to be suspended and the game appears to come too soon for the injured Neal Trotman.

Last Meeting: This will be the first ever fixture between the two sides.
