THREE TO WATCH: PORT VALE

17 February 2017

Take a look at the potential threats in the ranks of Saturday's opponents, Port Vale.

#26 - Tyler Walker - Striker

The Nottingham Forest trainee Walker, joined Port Vale in January, four days after his recall from Stevenage.

He scored on his Vale debut with a "superb 20-yard strike" for The Valiants against Bury before also going on to win a penalty in a 2–2 draw.

Walker was also on the scoresheet in his next game against then League leaders Scunthorpe in a 3-2 loss however, the youngster hasn’t scored in his three outings since.

#4 - Remie Streete - Defender

The young defender has been ever present in the Port Vale side this season despite the change in management.

Streete first joined Port Vale on a one-month loan deal in October 2014, before signing permanently in the summer of 2015 after being released by Newcastle United.

The Valiants man has made 35 appearances so far this season scoring an impressive six goals in all competitions, however, the defender did limp out of Vale’s loss to Millwall on Tuesday evening so may be a doubt for this weekend's game.

#10 - JJ Hooper - Striker

Port Vale signed striker JJ Hooper in August 2015. Having come through the ranks at Premier League side Newcastle United, Hooper is a powerful centre forward with a prolific strike-rate at the lower levels but is struggling in front of goal this season, only hitting the back of the net twice in all competitions.

Hooper returned to former club Northampton Town this season on a five-month loan on 22 August.

He scored his first goal for the "Cobblers" in a 6–0 victory over Harrow Borough in an FA Cup First Round match at Sixfields on 5th November.

He made eight starts and five substitute appearances for the "Cobblers", before being ruled out with a thigh injury in November and returning to Vale Park in January when Michael Brown replaced Ribeiro as manager.
