28 April 2017

We take a quick look at this weekend's opponents Millwall

.clicking here "The play-offs are gone but we still want to end the season on a high and we owe it to Southend and Rochdale to go out there and put in a performance against Millwall. You can watch Darrell's full press conference by Darrell's View:

Sunday's opponents Millwall currently occupy the final play-off spot in the League One table with 70 points from their 45 games this season. The Lions have their own fate in their own hands, knowing a win on Sunday will secure play-off football going into May. However, a draw or a loss to Darrell Clarke's side could pave the way for Southend United or Rochdale who entertain Bury and Bradford City respectively. Opposition:

One to Watch - #9 - Lee Gregory - Striker

The twenty-eight-year-old striker is Millwall's leading goalscorer this season, with fifteen goals in all competitions.

Gregory was on the books of Mansfield Town as a trainee, but the striker failed to make an impact for the Stags and eventually moved to Halifax Town.

During his spell at Halifax, the forward achieved the impressive goal return of twenty-nine goals in just over thirty-five games which drew the attention of Millwall and the striker signed at the Den in June 2014.

Gregory has been ever-present for the Lions this season, adding four assists to his healthy goal tally. On average the striker finds the net every 196 minutes.

10 man Rovers suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat at the Den back in November as Aiden O'Brien, Shaun Williams, Lee Gregory and Harry Smith all hit the back of the net following Daniel Leadbitter's 14th minute red card.Last Time Out:

Betting:Bristol Rovers are the 12/5 outsiders with Sky Bet to bag three points against a Millwall side that are looking to secure the final play-off place. The Lions, coming off the back of a 3-0 loss at home to Oxford, are the 21/20 favourites to win on the road.

Rovers are facing a defence which has conceded seven goals in the last three games, so there is value in Bristol Rovers to win and over 2.5 goals at 4/1 with Sky Bet.
