Read Manager Darrell Clarke's thoughts heading into Saturday's encounter against Northampton Town at the Mem.
Over the festive period Rovers recorded back-to-back wins at the Mem over Coventry City and AFC Wimbledon to ensure that the Christmas period was a profitable one for the Gas.
Manager Darrell Clarke welcomed the good points return, but insisted the focus is very much on the upcoming games.
"When you analyse it, I'm over the moon with six points out of the nine," said the Manager.
"Obviously it is disappointing to lose any game, but if you would have said before the Christmas programme that we would get six points out of the nine on offer then I would have snapped your hand off!"
"At the moment we are tenth in League One and we are in a healthy position."
"So overall I'm pleased with the return, but now we focus on our next game."
Earlier today it emerged that youngster Charlie Colkett has been recalled by his parent club, Chelsea F.C, with Darrell speaking highly of loanee's work ethic during his time at the club.
"Charlie started his loan spell very well with ourselves and had a little bit of a dip over the past few weeks, but I believe he played a fair amount of games, however, he has been recalled back and I wish him all the best because he is a fantastic lad and a credit to his football club.
"Charlie has a great attitude and I believe that if he can sort out his defensive duties, I think he can be a top-class player in the future.
"We're pleased to have played a small part in his development."
Next up for Rovers is the visit of Northampton Town to the Mem this coming Saturday.
All four teams promoted from League Two last campaign have thirty points or more this season, with the Manager impressed with the way that all the newly promoted teams have adjusted to life in SkyBet League One
"Northampton obviously won the league last season in League Two, but we have managed to get six points ahead of them this campaign so far, which is good. For me, the teams that were promoted to League One last season have more than held their own this season and we expect a tough game on Saturday."
