THREE TO WATCH: SWINDON TOWN

27 January 2017

Take a look where the potential threats are in the ranks of Swindon Town.

John Goddard - Midfielder/Winger

With three goals this season, the winger has been a prominent feature for Swindon so far this season, with the twenty-three-year-old making thirty-one appearances this campaign.

After starting his career at Reading as a youngster, the midfielder left the Berkshire club in 2012 and joined Hayes & Yeading United.

Following a successful spell at Hayes, the winger attracted the attention of a number of Conference clubs, before eventually joining Woking in September 2013.

During his three-year stay at Woking, the winger scored twenty-five goals in just over one-hundred-and-ten appearances, including the impressive goal return of seventeen goals in forty-one appearances for Woking during the 2015-16 season.

In May 2016, Goddard joined Swindon Town on a three-year deal and made his debut in Swindon's opening game of the season against Coventry City.

Lloyd Jones - Defender

The twenty-one-year-old centre-back is currently on loan at Swindon from Liverpool and to date has made over twenty appearances during his loan spell.

Born in Plymouth, the defender was associated with the youth-team setup up at Home Park before making the switch to Liverpool for a fairly substantial fee in May 2011.

Following his arrival in Merseyside, the youngster became a regular feature in the Liverpool U-21 squad during the 2012-13 season, with the defender progressing to the senior squad as an unused substitute for a Premier League fixture against Fulham in May 2013.

Loan spells at Cheltenham, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool gave the defender a first taste of EFL, with the youngster signing a new two-year deal with Liverpool in August 2016.

In August the defender arrived at Swindon on a season's long loan deal and Rovers fans will recall the defender being on the scoresheet back in September in our 2-1 victory over Swindon.

Charlie Colkett - Midfielder

A familiar face to Rovers fans, with the twenty-year-old midfielder spending time on loan at the Mem earlier in the season. During his spell at the Mem Charlie scored three goals in seventeen appearances.

After a brief return to his parent club, Chelsea, the youngster joined Swindon Town on loan alongside teammates Islam Feruz and Fankaty Dabo.

So far the midfielder has made two appearances for the Robins, setting up Yaser Kasim's 89th-minute winner during his debut against Bolton Wanderers and featured in Swindon's last outing against Peterborough United.
