Sam Finley joined the Gas in the summer of 2021, having previously worked under Joey Barton.
Finley has humble beginnings in the non-league system, dotting round between clubs both in the lower divisions and the Welsh football pyramid.
His profile really grew while featuring for AFC Fylde, he would spend three years with the club, progressing to wear the captains armband before securing a move to Accrington Stanley.
From there, a two season stint was spent under John Coleman before Finley linked up with Joey Barton at Fleetwood Town.
The energetic and combative midfielder spent one campaign with the Cod Army before reuniting with Barton in summer of 2021.
