The former Eastleigh captain joined the Club back in January 2016.

A former employee of Bournemouth, the defender made over fifty appearances for the Cherries, scoring against Swansea in 2008 to become Bournemouth's youngest ever goalscorer.

Partington spent time on loan at Eastbourne and Aldershot but suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out for ten months during his time on loan at Aldershot.

After recovering from the setback, the defender permanently joined Eastleigh back in June 2015, following the expiry of his deal at Bournemouth.

He was made captain for Eastleigh ahead of the 2016/17 season and was signed for Rovers for an undisclosed fee in January 2017.

Partington made his debut for the Club as a substitute in Rovers' defeat at Fleetwood Town and progressed to make seven appearances between January and the end of the season for Darrell Clarke's side.
