Match Preview: Bristol Rovers v Doncaster Rovers

9 January 2020

We preview this weekend's League clash with Doncaster Rovers...

Rovers are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday, as Doncaster Rovers head to the Mem.

Ben Garner's side will be looking to pick up maximum points that would lift the Gas in the top-six, if other results go their way, with a tight group of club vying for a play off spot.

Like Rovers, Doncaster were in mid-week action, as they picked up three points with a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury Town, a win that took Darren Moore's side tally for the season to 32 points.

There are just two points separating the sides heading into Saturday's encounter.

Manager's Preview: Garner met up with the press at the Mem on Friday to talk through his approach to this weekend's game against Doncaster Rovers...

Opposition: Doncaster head into Saturday's contest on the back of two straight wins over Oxford and Shrewsbury Town, which had aided their climb up the table to be in and around the chasing pack for a play-off spot. Midfielder Kieran Sadlier, who scored in the reverse fixture earlier this season, leads the Doncaster scoring charts, with nine goals to his name so far this term.

Press Talk: Wolves loanee Niall Ennis spoke to the press ahead of this weekend's fixture, citing Doncaster's good run of form, saying “We want to keep this run going and hopefully we can do that, I want to try and be a big influence on the team, obviously I want to score, but if I’m setting up a goal too then that can be a help, but I want to get more goals on the board.”
