Match Preview: Bristol Rovers v Gillingham

26 November 2018

All the pre-match content ahead of Tuesday's fixture against Gillingham.

Rovers head into Tuesday's game looking to bounce back after Saturday's 3-1 defeat at The Valley.

There isn't much between the two teams ahead of Tuesday's encounter, as Gillingham currently sit just a point and two places above Darrell Clarke's men in the league standings.

A win on Tuesday evening could see Rovers climb out of the bottom four and leapfrog Gillingham in the process, ahead of the upcoming weekend without any Sky Bet League One action.

Darrell's View: The Manager spoke to the press on Monday morning ahead of training to give his thoughts heading into Tuesday's game.

Players' View: A constant figure in the heart of the Rovers defence, it was Tony Craig who was on press duty alongside the Manager bright and early on Monday, as the experienced defender offered his take on Tuesday's fixture.

Opposition: Gillingham suffered a defeat at the hands of Luton Town on Saturday at Preistfield as an Elliot Dee brace helped the Hatters to a 3-1 win. Steve Lovell's men last league win came at the start of November, as the Gills dispatched Fleetwood 3-0 at home. Gillingham have picked up eight points on the road this season and have conceded the first goal in 12 of their 19 outings so far this term.

Last Time We Met: The Gills' last visit the BS7 ended in a 1-1 draw back in April. The late provided plenty of late drama as the deadlock was broken in the 86th minute by Dom Telford to put Rovers ahead - but a stoppage-time strike from Elliot List ensured that the points were shared.

Tickets: Online tickets for Tuesday's game will be available up until midnight on Monday, 26th November. On Tuesday, tickets will be available from the Club Superstore throughout the day and prior to kick-off from the match day ticket office, located just behind the North Terrace.
