Three to Watch: AFC Wimbledon

16 November 2017

Rovers welcome AFC Wimbledon to the Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

Under the guidance of Neal Ardley, the Dons settled in well to life in SkyBet League One last campaign, earning a comfortable midtable finish.

This season AFC Wimbledon have won four times in the league, losing nine of their opening seventeen games.

Take a look below at the dangermen to take a look out for on Saturday.

Lyle Taylor - Striker

The forward is AFC Wimbledon's top scorer this season and is currently on six goals for the season.

Now in his third season with the Dons, the forward settled into life in League One with fourteen goals last season.

This season it took until mid-October for the forward to find the net, as the striker broke his goalless spell with a hat-trick against Rotherham.

In his last three games, Taylor has found the net in three different competitions, scoring in the Checkatrade Trophy, Emirates FA Cup and SkyBet League One, extending his goal return to six strikes in six games.

Andy Barcham - Winger

The former Tottenham trainee and ex-England U16 forward has been a regular feature for AFC Wimbledon since his arrival in July 2015.

This season the forward has found the net on two occasions, in a 2-0 victory over Doncaster and a 1-1 draw against Gillingham.

The thirty-year-old signed for the Dons from Portsmouth in the summer of 2015 and has been a regular source of goals and assists.

Last season the forward managed six goals, helping Neal Ardley's side to a 15th place finish.

Harry Forrester - Midfield

The former Doncaster and Brentford player is on loan at the Kingsmeadow Stadium from Scottish Premiership side Rangers.

Scoring eight goals in forty-four appearances for Rangers, the twenty-six-year-old was out of favour with former Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha in the summer, which resulted in the midfielder linking up with AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan.

In the early stages of the season, Forrester has become a regular first-team player under Neal Ardley, scoring the winning goal in the Dons victory over Northampton Town in August.
