Two of the club’s promising younger players, Ryan Broom and Danny Greenslade, have today joined Bath City and Gloucester City respectively in one-month loan deals.
Ryan, who enjoyed an excellent pre-season with Rovers, joins National League South outfit Bath City who are currently in eighth place in the league standings with 19pts
He has been with Rovers since joining our Academy as a 12 year old and graduated through the ranks before being offered his first, short term, professional contract in the summer of 2015, a deal which was later extended until the end of the season.
A regular in our Under-18 side during his two years as a scholar, Ryan also attended two Welsh Training camps, though he has yet to represent his country at international level.
Predominantly a right-sided midfielder, he is very quick and likes to get forward as often as possible.
Ryan made his senior debut for Rovers when going on as a second half substitute against Birmingham City in last season's Capital One Cup tie at The Memorial Stadium.
His league debut came on 19th March 2016 when he went on as a late substitute in our game against Newport County.
Ryan joined Taunton Town in a one month loan deal on 14th August 2015 and that loan was extended for a further month before his return to The Memorial Stadium.
Bath entertain Eastbourne Borough at Twerton Park on Saturday (kick off 3.00pm)
Danny, meanwhile, has signed for Vanarama National League North side Gloucester City, who play their home games at Cheltenham Town’s Whaddon Road.
Gloucester are currently occupying seventh place in their league, with 21 points from their 12 games and they entertain FC Halifax Town tomorrow. (kick off 3.00pm).
Another graduate of our Academy, Danny has been with the club since he was 10 years of age and worked his way up through every age group from that point.
He was also a member of the U-18 side that clinched a league and cup double in 2012/13.
A left back, he was offered a pro contract after spending two years as a scholar.
Danny spent time on loan at Mangotsfield United and Truro City in 2014/15 and enjoyed a loan spell with Bath City last season.
