Rovers head to Fratton Park on Tuesday evening, knowing that a win could boost their chances of progressing to the knock-out stages of the Checkatrade Trophy.
Assistant Manager, Marcus Stewart is focused on gaining a positive result to ensure Rovers progress in the competition and to carry on building momentum.
"We have got to win the game, it is that simple," said Stewart.
"Yeovil are playing on Wednesday night and how we do on Tuesday might dictate how they approach their game, but we will focus on getting a win like we do in every away game that we play."
"We want to go out and win and we have a squad capable of doing just that.'
"After watching Portsmouth's last game at Fratton Park in the Checkatrade Trophy and even though that there wasn't a big crowd there, they still quite noisy."
"You still had the bells in the background, which is what Fratton Park is all about and whenever I have played there, or been there as a coach, when you hear the bells at Fratton Park you know instantly what ground you are at."
Casting his thoughts back to Saturday's 1-1 draw in the Emirates FA Cup against Crawley, Marcus insisted that it was a rare occasion this season where the squad had failed to take their chances in the final third, which meant that Rovers weren't able to build on Lee Brown's opening goal.
"I thought that we had a decent game possession wise. Crawley had a decent fifteen-minute spell in the second half, but we weren't firing on all cylinders going forward , which is rare for us, but it does happen."
"It was one of those days where it wasn't to be going forward. You can't always score two or three goals in a game and you can't always expect your forward players to be on the scoresheet in every game."
"I think attacking-wise we have looked dangerous all season and we would have liked to go on progress from Lee Brown's free-kick to keep a clean sheet on the day, as around the time of going head, we were dominating possession and playing the majority of the game in Crawley's half."
