Jeff Stelling began his walk for prostate cancer charity Men United last week where the Sky Sports Soccer Saturday presenter's 262-mile journey will see him walk 10 marathons in 10 days from Hartlepool's Victoria Park to Wembley Stadium.

At the start on Day One Jeff said, "We are as ready as you can be."

Prostate Cancer UK is the Official Charity Partner of The Football League and twenty five clubs are represented along the route, through the heartlands of England. Jeff will arrive at Burton Albion on Good Friday (March 25) and walk on to the pitch ahead of the Brewers' League One clash with Oldham Athletic.

Bristol Rovers Ken Masters is no stranger to long walks for charity himself and Ken has been invited to join Jeff on Day 10 and to help to get him over the line.

Ken will meet up with Jeff and other walkers today [Wednesday 30th March], at AFC Wimbledon and walk a 42k, 26.2 mile route that takes in Brentford, Fulham, Chelsea, QPR and Wembley Stadium.

The final days walk will start at 8pm and is planned to finish at Wembley soon after 6pm.

Ken said “Prostate problems in men is serious. Prostate cancer is a killer, particularly if it not caught in time and spreads to the bones. It is a problem for 1 in 8 men. That means around 1000 men in the Memorial Stadium on Good Friday for the Cambridge United game will be affected.”

“We are walking to raise funds to tackle Prostate Cancer. You just can’t get up one morning and walk over 26 miles in a day. Preparation is vital and I am now up to 350 training miles on the road. The legs feel ready.”
