Darrell Clarke has missed out on being December's Sky Bet League Two Manager of the Month.

The Rovers boss was piped to the award by Cambridge United's Shaun Derry.

Darrell has guided his side through a stellar December to collect 13 points from five unbeaten games with a 10-2 goal differential.

The Rovers boss faced some stiff competition for this months prize coming up against Derek Adams (Plymouth Argyle), Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers) and eventual winner Shaun Derry (Cambridge United).

The decision was made by a judging panel that consists of former Ipswich Town manager George Burley, Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
