ROVERS GIVE AWAY A SEASON TICKET TO COMPETITION WINNER

16 August 2016

Bristol Rovers and Bristol Rovers Community Trust are delighted to have been able to award a season ticket to our first ever winner of Kick it for a Ticket.

Will Henderson, 21, from Downend in Bristol managed to hold his nerve in front over three and a half thousand cheering fans in the Thatcher’s End at half time during Sundays Match against Oxford, scoring four goals and earning himself a season ticket in the process.

Sunday's winner told the club website "My boyhood dream was to kick a football on that pitch and I've finally achieved that and the added bonus of scoring from the halfway line, along with of course winning a season ticket!"

"Kick It For A Ticket" is our Community Trust competition where Bristol Rovers fans are given the opportunity to win a series of prizes by simply kicking a ball through an open net in front of the Thatcher’s End faithful. If the competitor is successful with their kick they can choose to gamble their prize and attempt another go. However, should they miss at any stage all the accumulated prizes will be lost.

Sounds easy, Perhaps not when each kick increases in difficulty and the whole of the Memorial Stadium is cheering you on.

The first kick is from the penalty spot. This wins the competitor a Bristol Rovers Scarf

The second kick is from the edge of the penalty area D. This wins you a Bristol Rovers football

The third kick is from the edge of the centre circle. This will win a Bristol Rovers shirt.

The fourth and final kick is from the centre circle. This will win our competitor a 2016/17 season ticket.

Adam Tutton from Bristol Rovers Community Trust said “We are delighted to finally have a winner of the competition. All our previous contestants have never quite managed to score the fourth goal so we are very pleased that Will managed to keep his nerve in front of a packed Memorial Stadium."

To enter this fantastic competition and have a chance of winning a Season Ticket in our game with Bolton Wanderers, simply follow our Official Twitter Page and retweet the Kick it for a Ticket post. We will then pick a winner at random from all entries received.

The competition is open to all over 18's.
