Lee talks about the remaining 8 games

This week Rovers signed Chris Lines on loan from League One Port Vale and Lee Mansell says that the ambition that the club is showing is fantastic.

"I think we needed that extra bit of quality to help see us over the line and Chris has got a proven pedigree and has played in the Championship and has made a lot of appearances this season for Port Vale.

"He is fitting in well with the squad already and I think it means we have that added bit of quality which will increase competition for places which during the next 8 games is going to be needed.

Rovers long unbeaten run came to an end last week and Mansell is just looking towards the next game and won't dwell on the past.

"I think it is just one of those things, there will be twists and turns until the end of the season but we were very disappointed in terms of the performance.

"If we look back on the last couple of games the performances haven't been that great and that is something that we have really been trying to rectify this week.

"I think we strayed away from what made us a successful team and what got us to top of the league and started grinding games out but you need quality to go with that which is something we have been lacking in our last few games.

"We've had hard sessions Monday and Tuesday and we are focused on what we want to achieve on Saturday at Halifax.

"We will go there [Halifax] and hopefully all the work we have done this week will be put into practise and we come home with the three points.

Halifax have currently played three games less that Rovers due to postponements because of pitch issues at the Shea Stadium and Mansell says the teams playing style might be determined on the day.

"The pitch can't be any worse than when we went to Dartford but we will go up there and have a look at it and if it won't allow us to play the football we want to play then we will have to re-evaluate it but that is all down to the manager.

"Whatever game plan the manager picks, we as an 11 need to go out there and implement it and bring the three points back to Bristol.
