Bristol Rovers stadium announced Nick Day makes his radio presenting debut this weekend as he hosts the Early Morning Breakfast Show across BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset.

On air from 5am on Saturday and Sunday, Nick will present a show full of interviews and good music to ease people into their weekends.
 
PA announcer at the Gas for almost 20 years, Nick has been a contributor on BBC Radio Bristol for a number of years with weekly slots reviewing the newspapers on Breakfast with Steve & Laura.

However, this weekend is the first time Nick 'flies solo' with his own show.
 
Nick told us "It's a great opportunity and a long held ambition to work in radio.

"Hopefully a few Gasheads will tune in and recognise my voice, although, at that time in the morning, I won't be quite as loud and over-excited as I can be at 3 O'clock on a Saturday afternoon!"
 
This week, Nick interviews Ben Mark, the guitarist and co-songwriter with Take That.

Neil Maggs will also be on hand with ideas on how to get active during the summer months.
