The manager's post-match thoughts!
Bristol Rovers extended their winning run to four consecutive games after defeating Braintree Town 2-1 at the Memorial Stadium thanks to Ellis Harrison's late winner and Darrell told the assembled media after the match that his side was made to work hard for the three points."You can give a lot of credit to Braintree tonight, I thought they worked exceptionally hard with 10 men and made it very difficult for us.
"We were pretty sloppy in possession at times and lacked that killer instinct but we got there in the end with a good bit of link up play from Ellis Harrison and Matty Taylor.
"We dug in there and kept going until the end and it is a real testament to Braintree and how hard they worked because they were very fit for a part-time side.
Rovers conceded less than 10 minutes after Matty Taylor's penalty put them ahead with a wonder-strike from Simeon Akinola but Darrell said you have to give the Barnet man credit for his strike.
"It was one hell of a finish but if we got another goal before Braintree our night would be a lot easier.
"The goal for them just before half time gave them a lift and the manner of the goal gave them a lift as well.
Darrell changed things around in the second half formation wise to try and make the most of Matt Paine's red card and the Rovers boss was left frustrated by the chances his side didn't convert.
"We changed it to be a bit more attacking in the second half and go in search of the next goal in the game and be a bit more forward thinking.
"We got in some great positions and then sloppily gave the ball away at times but we tried to keep the ball moving and eventually that took it's toll on Braintree.
"I was pleased with the amount we created but disappointed in the amount we finished tonight.
"I said in pre-season that you have to win all sorts of football games to be in contention to win a league and tonight was another one of those games so I'm delighted we got all three points.
