The club is aware that the recent changes to the terracing areas have caused some issues over the first three games of the season. The change has come following an EFL regulation that does not allow any standing at pitch level. This rule is now being enforced by our Safety Advisory Group.
We are aware that many fans, particularly younger fans, used to stand at the front of the terrace to ensure that they could see and therefore we know that this change has been disappointing for many supporters.
Last week we raised the issues that this change has caused at our Safety Advisory Group meeting and we will now be starting a consultation process to assess the options to ensure that we find a safe solution for all supporters wishing to enjoy the match.
Possible solutions could include creating a family area within the terrace or adding an additional step at the front for children.
Assessing these and other options is likely to take some time so we would like to offer all those with children the option to move to a different part of the ground free of charge until we have concluded on the best way forward.
Should you wish to take up this option you can do so by contacting our support team on;
Tel: 0333 321 9998 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm)
We will shortly contact supporters within these areas with a survey to gauge your feedback and input on this process so we can find something that works for everyone.
Thanks for all of your support and we look forward to seeing you back at The Mem this weekend.
