Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that Byron Anthony has been appointed as the new Head of Coaching for the clubs Academy.
Byron made 163 appearances across a six-year career as a player at Rovers, scoring seven goals. Byron takes over the role from Adrian Harvie, who left his position earlier this year to spend more time with his family.
Byron began his playing career with Cardiff City and made his debut for the Welsh club at 20 years old. He moved to Rovers in 2006 and made his debut for The Gas on 12th August 2006 in a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town. Academy Manager, Chris Hargreaves has expressed his delight at Byron's new role.
"I am delighted to announce that Byron Anthony will be joining the team as our new Academy Head of Coaching
Byron has obviously worked with us recently, and as well as being a former player at the club he brings to the role a wealth of experience.
We have already discussed several ideas to enhance what we are currently doing very well within the Academy. We really want to develop our staff and players to be as competitive and successful as possible."
Byron will be officially joining the club later this week.
