Anssi Jaakkola has been named as part of the Finland squad to travel to Euro 2020 this summer!
The 34-year-old will be part of a Finland side set to make their debut in Europe's premiere international competition, after confirming their qualification all the way back in November 2019.
Since then, Jaakkola has recovered from injury twice, and is ready to form part of the squad with group stage fixtures slated for June against Denmark, Russia and Belgium.
Jaakkola is likely to be the third choice candidate for the spot in between the sticks, with Bayer Leverkusen's Lukas Hradecky and Brescia's Jesse Joronen ahead of him in the pecking order.
With experience all over the globe, Jaakkola will serve as an knowledgeable figure in the dressing room for Finland's maiden voyage into major international competition.
Everyone at Bristol Rovers would like to wish Anssi and the Finland squad the best of luck for this summer's tournament.
