The Terrace Become Retail Operations Partner

We can today announce that The Terrace have taken on an active role in running the club’s retail outlets by becoming our new Retail Operations partner.

A brand that will be well known to supporters, The Terrace are a trusted retro football and sport culture retailer for unique, personalised and fan loved merchandise and gifts.

The Terrace have been licensed to recreate famous kits from past eras and have used these designs to create exclusive merchandise that has proven to be increasingly popular amongst Rovers fans.

The company also supported the club last season with sleeve sponsorship for our Third Round Emirates FA Cup tie against Sheffield United.

The new deal will see The Terrace take an active role in all aspects of the club’s retail offering, covering both our online store and the Stadium Superstore. For supporters, this will mean new methods behind delivery, new products added and an enhanced focus on fan involvement in the retail process.

Commercial Director, Tom Gorringe said, “We are delighted to expand our partnership with The Terrace that will see them take on the newly formed role of retail operations partner.

"Over the past 14 months, we have seen sales figures grow consistently across brfcdirect.co.uk, as supporters spending and purchasing habits have adapted in light of the pandemic.

"While we have made significant progress over the past few years with our online retail offering, we are listening actively to supporter feedback on how we can improve even further.

"We are making plans to re-open the Stadium Superstore when the guidelines permit and work has gone into making the retail experience the best it can be for everyone visiting on a match day or beyond. The Terrace will formulate new and exclusive products and take an active role in the provision of more constant offers across our retail range.

"The Terrace have a wealth of experience and expertise in marketing and retail management and I'm sure that our continued working relationship will lead to an improvement in the retail experience for supporters in the months ahead."

“Taking this approach into club retail has always been our goal and we are delighted, after building a great relationship with the football club and the Rovers fans in the recent years. We can now take this partnership one step further to give fans a driving voice in retail.

“Ultimately fans are the bloodline to any club, giving them a voice within retail, essentially of products they want to buy, is essential for club retail and we are looking forward to speaking with fans regularly for their input of topics, areas and ideas they have.

“The Bristol Rovers fanbase has been second to none in supporting not only the club but also our vision, especially through the recent pandemic. This new overhaul and journey is for them and to put their voice first and we are forever grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the club."
