How our Fanbase Showed their Incredible Support Last Season!

8 June 2021

With football forced behind closed doors last term, fans were able to support from home via iFollow - we take a look at some of the incredible statistics behind last season's viewership.

In an unprecedented season, Gasheads showed unrivalled support, with end of season statistics showing a superb online following despite a poor on-field season.

Over 67,000 match passes were used, providing vital income to the club throughout the season. Predictably, our UK fanbase led the way with more than 59,000 passes purchased, followed by support from the USA and Australia.

Mainland Europe provided some viewership too, with Rovers fans regularly tuning in from countries such as Spain, France and Germany. The Gas had some viewers from across Asia too, with fans from the UAE, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan and the Philippines supporting from overseas.

The overwhelming majority of fans tuned in via desktop computer, with the 39,000+ match passes sold from this device over double the number of passes sold on mobile.

The Gas' most sold game was the pivotal clash with Northampton Town away from home, with Luke Leahy on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw. Over £21,000 was revenue was generated from just this one game, a vital part amount of income created by supporters.

The Club would like to extend their thanks to every fan who tuned in from all over the globe to back the Gas from home in the 2020/21 campaign. The revenue generated from iFollow sales will provide vital support
