The Club are pleased to announce the permanent signing of Aaron Collins.
The striker arrives at the Mem on a two-year deal and becomes the latest signing of the summer transfer window.
A highly-rated talent, the 24-year-old possesses a good degree of EFL experience, with spells at the likes of Newport County, Tranmere Rovers, Morecambe, Colchester and most recently at Forest Green Rovers
Born in Newport, Collins made his senior debut for Newport County AFC aged just 17, after being introduced back into the Exiles' academy by their current Manager, Mike Flynn.
After impressing in the first half of the 2015/16 season with Newport, Collins' performances caught the attention of Wolves, who he joined for an undisclosed fee in January 2016.
Throughout his time at Molineux the youngster captured first-team experience with a number of loan spells, taking in stints with the likes of Notts County, Tranmere Rovers, Maidstone and return to Rodney Parade on loan.
Collins left Wolves for Morecambe in February 2019 and immediately found impressive form, scoring eight goals in just 20 league appearances for The Shrimps.
The striker headed back south in the summer of 2019, joining Forest Green Rovers. In his initial season at the New Lawn, he found the net on five occasions in the shortened 19/20 campaign.
Last term, the striker reached a double-figure goal tally for the first time in his career, aiding Forest Green's playoff push with 11 goals. His form in the final stages of the season saw him find the net four times in four games, with Collins scoring in a dramatic play-off semi-final defeat against his former club, Newport County.
The striker will now join Rovers ahead of pre-season training commencing next week.
Speaking about the arrival of Collins, Manager Joey Barton commented, “We are thrilled to secure Aaron's signature as we know there were plenty of suitors.
"He's shown that he's capable of scoring and creating goals at this level and was a constant attacking threat for Forest Green last season.
"He can play in several positions across the forward line and that flexibility will give us different options in how we set up next season.
“Aaron is an ambitious lad, who wants to be part of a squad that gets promoted out of Sky Bet League Two. That is our collective goal, and I’m hopeful we achieve that together this forthcoming season."
