The Club is pleased to announce that Zain Walker has signed a new contract.
The youngster signs his first professional deal with the Gas ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
Zain joined the Rovers Academy at the age of sixteen - arriving in Bristol from Fulham, after being scouted at exit trials.
He became the first Rovers player born this millennium to feature for the club when he made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy against Exeter City in November 2018.
The winger enjoyed an impressive season throughout the 2019/20 campaign, scoring 8 goals in 15 starts, with two goals in the FA Youth Cup, as the young Rovers side progressed to the Third Round of the competition.
On the youngster agreeing terms, Manager Ben Garner said, "Zain is a dynamic and exciting player. He has great potential that we hope to develop as he learns and matures.
"Zain has the attributes to do very well and with hard work he has the opportunity to progress here at Rovers.”
Academy Manager, Chris Hargreaves added, "Zain is another Academy prospect we have high hopes for.
"He's had a taste of first-team action and if he continues to show the right drive and attitude, combined with his pace and ability, then we believe he can become a real asset for the football club."
