The release of our brand new 2020/21 home and away kits saw record sales over the opening weekend!
Friday's launch of our kits for the 2020/21 campaign was received warmly by supporters, who quickly took up the opportunity to purchase the kits for themselves.
The home kit alone received over 100,000 impressions on social media platforms, as fans raced to see what the latest form of the famous blue and white quarters looked like.
Over the weekend, over 10% of the overall sales on last season's replica kit were made, as supporters rushed to be one of the first to get their hands on the new shirts.
So far, orders for the 2020/21 kit have been made around the globe, with supporters logging on from Kenya, Macau, Cambodia, Chile, Taiwan, Cayman Islands and Colombia to view the new shirts.
The Club is working with our online store provider to install a pre-order option for the sizes that are currently showing as out of stock, with those who choose this option notified when the next batch of orders is ready for shipment.
There will also be an option for kits suitable for young children coming soon.
On the success of the kit launch, Commercial Director, Tom Gorringe said, "We are delighted to see the kits being so well received by the fanbase.
"Over the weekend, we could see the amount of orders being generated via the online store and we surpassed our target for the weekend within two hours of the launch on Friday.
"With the popularity of the kit, we have increased our order ensuring that we can service demand. We have also chased up the next batch of stock which is currently being shipped and due to arrive at the start of September.
“Huge credit for the launch must go to our Media team, who did a fantastic job on the product, which featured our very own Duane ’The Gasman’ Winters.
"We have seen orders from fans worldwide, with our supporters once again showing a willingness to help the Club in these testing times. Many orders have already been processed and received by the supporters and we look forward to seeing you all sporting the new blue and white quarters this season.”
