Match Previews Trophy Match Preview: Bristol Rovers v Stevenage

6 January 2020

Rovers entertain Stevenage in the Trophy on Wednesday evening at Mem.

It's been a hectic week in the Rovers camp so far, with the Gas not only drawing at the weekend with Coventry in the FA Cup 3rd Round, but also completing the signing of Jayden Mitchell-Lawson on loan, and Josh Barrett on a permanent deal.

Stevenage themselves have been involved in some January business, signing Joe Leesley on loan from Harrogate Town.

Manager's Preview: The Gaffer previewed the midweek fixture with Stevenage as well as discussing his two new additions to the squad.

Pre-Match: Ben Garner on Stevenage

Player's Preview: Josh Barrett also gave his first interview after signing for the Club, a day before the Stevenage fixture.

First Interview: Josh Barrett

Opposition: Stevenage find themselves 23rd in Sky Bet League Two, with a tally of 18 points from their 25 games so far this season. Graham Westley rejoined Stevenage for his fourth spell at the club back in December. On Saturday, a point at home to Colchester United was enough to lift Stevenage off the foot of Sky Bet League Two, with Westley's side reduced to ten men midway through the second half. In the Trophy so far this season, Stevenage progressed from a group that included MK Dons, Wycombe Wanderers and Fulham U21's, beating Colchester in the first round of the knockout stages.
