Match Preview: Bolton Wanderers

27 January 2020

The Gas hit the road for a midweek fixture against Bolton Wanderers, check out our preview for game...

Rovers will be looking to build from a solid 0-0 draw against Fleetwood Town, in their away trip to Bolton.

Bolton look destined for a struggle, after a short blip of positive form, coinciding with their trip to the Mem earlier this season, they have been unable to kick on, suffering heavy losses to the likes of Lincoln City and Accrington Stanley. They have failed to win since the 21st December when they beat fellow relegation candidates Southend United 3-2.

The Gas still lie in 13th place in the league, but remain optimistic, just 5 points outside of the play-offs.

Pre-Match: Ben Garner on Bolton

Opposition: Bolton have been unable to progress onwards after their 3-2 victory against Southend United before Christmas, currently recovering from 4 losses on the bounce including 5-1 demolition from Lincoln City. However, the Gas will know not to take this game lightly as Bolton won comfortably on their visit to the Mem earlier in the campaign. However, Bolton did not play on the weekend due to Shrewsbury's appearance in the FA Cup, so will be heavily rested ahead of Tuesday night.
