An update on the Club's outreach programme during this difficult time...
The first deliveries of the essential food and provisions packaged for vulnerable Season Ticket holders were delivered today, as members of the first-team joined staff from the Community Trust to help deliver the packages direct to the doorstep of Season Ticket holders.
Season Ticket holders who are 70 and over were contacted via a letter from Manager Ben Garner, expressing the club's well wishes during these unprecedented times and offering assistance to those who may be isolated away from family and friends during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The packages were constructed with essential food and supplies, as well as a can of Thatchers Cider and were delivered to the doors of vulnerable season ticket holders by members of the first-team squad in locations all over Bristol.
Community Trust Chief Executive Adam Tutton said, "We are pleased to be able to offer our help to those who need it in today's turbulent climate.
"As soon as it was announced that those over 70 were advised to self-isolate for a three-month period, it came to our attention that we could well have members of our fan base that could be struggling, without the support of family and friends.
"From our launch just over a week ago, we have worked with our suppliers to construct these packages, which will hopefully go a long way to helping in this crisis.
"It's brilliant to have the players here today helping to pack and deliver these items. You can see that it gives people a real lift when they see that their delivery was dropped off by a member of the first-team and it goes to show the strong community core that we have here at Bristol Rovers.
"This scheme is on-going and I would encourage anyone who has had the letter from the club and needs support, please reach out to us and we will do all we can to help."
Should any current Bristol Rovers season ticket holders aged 70 and above require support please contact email@example.com with your name, contact number and season ticket number. A member of the club will then contact you to discuss your requirements.
