Bristol Rovers Football Club are sad to hear news of the death of Club legend Stuart Taylor.
Signing for the Gas back in 1965 Taylor went on to play for the Club for 15 years, amassing a record 546 league appearances. In those years, he remained a rock in the centre of the Rovers defence, towering above most players as teammates came and went.
In 2015, Taylor was awarded the Harry Bamford Trophy, in recognition of his sportsmanship and fair play - a testament to the respect and kindness he displayed whilst involved with the Club.
The Club would like to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Stuart, a man who will be remembered as a Rovers legend.
The Club will pay its respects at a forthcoming home game, details of which will be revealed closer to the time.
