Match Preview: Doncaster Rovers v Rovers

25 March 2019

Rovers return to the road for the second time in four days, this time heading north to take on Doncaster Rovers in SkyBet League One.

After Saturday's thrilling 2-2 draw at Plymouth Argyle, Rovers head into the clash at the Keepmoat Stadium unbeaten in their last eight away games and their last five league games, home and away.

Gavin Reilly's stoppage time equaliser left his side 15th in the table, with a three-point cushion on the drop zone and tomorrow's fixture as their game in hand.

Victory over Grant McCann's side would lift the Gas up to 12th in the table and six points worth of breathing space on the bottom four, with only seven games left.

Gaffer's View: The Manager spoke to the press bright and early at the training ground on Monday morning, to look ahead to his side's trip to Donny.

Opposition: Doncaster after very much in with a shout for a play-off spot finish, as they sit 7th, just a point off Peterborough United above them and with a game in hand. Their form will have to improve however if their aspirations are to come to fruition, as Grant McCann's side haven't won in their last eight outings. It's their shyness in front of goal is what has cost them, only finding the net three times in those matches. They will be keen to move on from the weekend's results, as they were put to the sword by league leaders Luton Town, losing 4-0 at Kenilworth Road.

Tickets: Advanced tickets for this fixture are now unavailable, however supporters can purchase them on the gate at Doncaster at no extra cost.
