The Club can confirm that it has today terminated Stefan Payne's contract by mutual consent.
The striker will leave the club with immediate effect.
Payne arrived at the Mem in August 2018, joining from Shrewsbury Town and made twenty appearances in the first half of the 2018/19 campaign.
In January 2019, the striker re-joined Shrewsbury Town on loan but failed to secure a regular first-team spot, making just the five appearances for the Sky Bet League One outfit.
Commenting on Payne's departure, Manager Graham Coughlan said, 'This decision works in the best interests of both the player and the club.
"It allows Stefan to move on and seek a new adventure while allowing us to look for alternative options in the remainder of the transfer window."
"We will concentrate now on securing new targets, to build on our recruitment already done this summer and we pass on our best wishes to Stefan for his future.”
