Bristol Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of striker Victor Adeboyejo on a long-term loan from Barnsley FC.
Aged just 21, the attacker has shown promise whilst at Barnsley, both for their under 23's and on occasional appearances for the first team.
Adeboyejo joins Tyler Smith as our second loan signing of summer, meaning both will be looking to add attacking intent to Coughlan's side.
Beginning his career at Leyton Orient, Adeboyejo showed good signs at an early age and impressed when sent out on loan to a number of none league clubs.
However, following his release in 2017, he striker trialled for a number of clubs before signing for Barnsley that year. There, he has been able to support occasionally off the bench, scoring four goals for the club since he joined.
Speaking about Adeboyejo, Coughlan said:
"Victor is a young striker who knows what it takes to be successful at this level, given that he was part of the Barnsley side who won promotion last year.
"His arrival gives us another dimension in attack and will add to our quality in the final third.
"We will make sure Victor is quickly embedded into the squad and settled ready for the start of the season.
"I want to thank Barnsley for sending him here, and we hope we can contribute towards his development heavily."
