19-year-old Harry Hodges has joined the club following a successful trial period.
Having spent all of his career so far at Plymouth Argyle, Hodges has impressed Lee Mansell over a spell on trial and will join the development setup permanently.
The right-back never made an appearance for Argyle but spent the latter half of last season on loan at Gloucester City, where he was able to pick up vital experience playing in and around a first-team.
As part of his trial spell at Rovers, Hodges appeared briefly in a pre-season friendly against Swansea City.
Lee Mansell spoke on the signing, saying, "He's a good acquisition who impressed over his trial period with consistent displays and never looked out of place when appearing for the first team."
"He still has lots to work on and can play as a center-half, but his primary position will be right back."
