Midfielder Luke Russe has today signed a new contract with the Club and is the first member of the Development Squad to agree new terms.
Eighteen-year-old Russe, who made his full league debut against MK Dons earlier this month has been a constant feature of the Development Squad this season, playing in the majority of the Central League games.
Speaking about the midfielder's new contract, Development Squad Manager Chris Hargreaves said, "We are delighted that Luke has put pen to paper on a new deal."
"Luke has impressed throughout the season and is a very committed individual and we have seen him make the most of the opportunities that have come his way in the first team as well."
"The hard work that Luke shows on a daily basis is showing results for him, but he's extremely level-headed and is focused on making sure he is able to continue his progression."
The Development Squad face Southend United in the semi-final (South) of the Central League Cup tomorrow afternoon at the GFA, kick-off 2:30pm.
