Loan Watch

5 February 2018

There were a number of Rovers players in action out on loan this weekend, so we've provided a round-up of what happened.

Ryan Broom's fine form at Eastleigh continued on Saturday, as he netted a brace to help the Spitfires to a 2-2 draw at AFC Fylde.

That's now three goals in three games for Ryan since his arrival at the Hampshire club, who stretch their unbeaten run to nine matches.

Meanwhile Rollin Menayese was handed a debut for Swindon Town in a 2-2 draw with Lincoln City, coming on as 24th minute after The Robins had a man dismissed.

Swindon had been 1-0 down with 10 men, but managed to put themselves 2-1 in front before the Imps snatched a late equaliser.

Jonny Burn, who is at York City until the end of the season,  was an unused substitute in their 1-1 draw with Tamworth.

Elsewhere in the National League South, Gloucester City hosted Poole Town, with Mo Baghdadi and Jordan Alawode-Williams starting for the visitors.

Jordan was unfortunate to score an own goal, whilst Rhys Kavanagh was a 71st minute substitute for Gloucester in an exciting game that ended 2-2.

Kenan Dunnwald moved on loan to Weston Super-Mare last week and started against Whitehawk on Saturday, but was on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing.

Larkhall Athletic fell to a 2-0 defeat to AFC Totton, with Liam Armstrong starting between the sticks for the Larks, whilst James Spruce was an unused substitute.

Cameron Ebutt came on in the 66th minute for Dorchester Town, as they registered a 1-0 victory over Kings Langley.

Connor Jones played a full 90 minutes for Mangotsfield United, as they scored late to earn a 1-1 draw with Winchester City.

Tom Mehew and Josh Bailey were both in action Hallen AFC, with the latter picking up the Man of the Match award in a 2-0 win over Odd Down.

Lewis Ellington played the final 25 minutes for Yate Town in what was his debut for the club, as they were well beaten 6-2 by Salisbury Town.
