Match Preview: Bradford City v Bristol Rovers

All you need to know ahead of Saturday's game against Bradford City.

1 September 2017

Rovers travel to Bradford City in Saturday's early kick-off, with the encounter being shown live on Sky Sports.

Rovers: Manager Darrell Clarke will be looking to make it five wins on the bounce on Saturday, building on last week's impressive showing against Fleetwood.

Team News: Both Tom Lockyer and Ryan Sweeney are away on international duty.

Darrell's View:

Opposition: Bradford head into tomorrow's game on the back of a thrilling 3-3 draw last weekend against Walsall and a victory midweek in the Checkatrade Trophy. So far this season the Bantams have won two, drawn one and lost one in SkyBet League One and currently occupy 9th place.

Dangerman - Dominic Poleon - Striker: Since his arrival from AFC Wimbledon in the summer, the striker has been quick off the mark for his new club, scoring three goals in his first five outings.

The forward enjoyed a blistering start to the 2016/17 campaign with the Dons, scoring twelve goals before the start of the turn of the year.

The twenty-three-year-old, who scored 13 goals in 49 appearances for the Dons last season, agreed a two-year contract at the end of June with Bradford for an undisclosed fee.

The striker opened his account for Bradford during their EFL Cup defeat to Doncaster Rovers, before scoring his first league goal in a narrow 1-0 victory against Gillingham.

Poleon was on the scoresheet last weekend in Bradford's thrilling 3-3 draw against Walsall.

Last Time Out: The sides drew both of their encounters 1-1 last season. Bradford's visit to the Mem saw Chris Lines fire Rovers ahead early on, but Nicky Law grabbed the equaliser just eleven minutes later, as both sides picked up a point.
