SHREWSBURY TOWN MATCH PREVIEW

31 March 2017

Take a look at Saturday's opponents, Shrewsbury Town.

Team News: Rovers are without defender Peter Hartley, who remains sidelined with a long-term injury.

Darrell's View: 'Shrewsbury are a team that are fighting for their lives and are working hard to stay in the league. Paul Hurst has gone in and managed to turn it around for them since he arrived.'

Opposition: Shrewsbury Town are currently in 20th position in SkyBet League One, sitting just one point clear of the relegation zone. In their last ten outings, they have picked up four wins, two draws and four defeats.

One to Watch - Tyler Roberts: On loan at Shrewsbury from West Brom, eighteen-year-old Roberts has made an impact since joining the club in January, scoring four goals in just over ten appearances.

The youngster spent the first-half of the 2016/17 at Oxford United, where he bagged two goals, including an impressive strike in the Checkatrade Trophy against Oxford.

On his return to West Brom in January, Oxford United were keen to extend the youngsters loan, but instead, the winger chose to head to Shropshire, agreeing on a loan deal with the Shrews until the end of the season

At international level, Roberts has represented Wales up to U19 level and recently committed his international future to Wales and was on the standby list for the recent round of international fixtures.

Shrewsbury are unbeaten in every game that Roberts has scored in since his arrival at Greenhous Meadow, with the youngster also contributing three assists.

Last Time Out: Rovers were defeated by the Shrews back in December by a two-goal scoreline. Ian Black and Louis Dodds were on the scoresheet that day.

Tickets: Supporters can take advantage of early bird prices up until midnight online. Tickets will also be available on the day at the Memorial Stadium.

Betting: League Sponsors SkyBet offer the following betting preview for Saturday's game.

'Bristol Rovers go into Saturday's Sky Bet League One clash with Shrewsbury as 3/4 favourites with the EFL sponsors.

'Rovers suffered a second straight away defeat when beaten 1-0 by Coventry last weekend but haven't lost at home in the league since November and are 2/1 to cover the handicap (-1) against a Shrews side battling for their lives on the cusp of the relegation zone.'
