We take a look at Blackpool F.C ahead of the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

Team Nickname: The Seasiders, The 'Pool, The Tangerines

Manager: Gary Bowyer guided Blackpool to an immediate return to SkyBet League One with a victory over Exeter City in last season's play-off final. The former Blackburn boss has been in charge of the Tangerines since June 2016.

Last Season: Blackpool managed to successfully negotiate the play-offs in SkyBet League Two as they made an immediate return to SkyBet League One. After finishing the regular season in 7th place, the 'Pool defeated Luton Town in a dramatic play-off semi-final to book at place at Wembley and went on to defeat Exeter City 2-1 in the final, thanks to goals from Brad Potts and Mark Cullen.

Last Encounter: Rovers' last encounter with Blackpool was back in April 2000 when the Seasiders defeated Rovers by a 2-1 scoreline. 

New Recruits: There hasn't been any transfer activity since the Wembley play-off final for Blackpool, but the Club did release ten members of their squad as they posted their retained list following their promotion to SkyBet League One.
