Defender Alfie Kilgour today signed a new contract with the club, thus becoming the final one of the five players offered terms at the end of last season to put pen to paper.
After spending time on loan at Cirencester Town last season, the 19 year old suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury in a Gloucestershire Senior Amateur Cup Tie on in his first game back, and he has spent the summer working hard on his rehabilitation programme.
He’s still a few weeks away from a full recovery, though, but is looking forward to resuming full time training in the not too distant future.
Yet to make his first team debut, he was included in the first team squad for the first time for the match against Accrington Stanley on 12th September 2015 when he was one of our unused substitutes.
He was allocated squad number 32 and given a first team contract in the summer of 2016, the only scholar to be upgraded to the pro ranks at that time.
