Bisham Football Academy 1 - 2 Bristol Rovers (Friday 3rd February)
We have a great relationship with the Football Academy at Bisham, which is run by Nas Bashir and have played them a number of times of the last few years.
They have an excellent education and football programme and we always have competitive and entertaining fixtures with them.
This one was no exception and we went in at half time all square at 0-0 in spite of the fact that both sides had worked hard to create an opening.
It was Bisham who opened the scoring in the second half, but we went on to score twice, through James Spruce and Lewis Ellington to win the game 2-1.
The fixture taught us to be more patient with the ball and the players are working hard to find the right balance of building the attack patiently with the ball and recognising the right time to go forward quickly.
That said, we were delighted with the two goals we scored, the first a real solo effort from James Spruce and the second an excellent take from Lewis Ellington from a Jordan Carey cross.
Rovers: Trialist, Josh Brace, Sam Iles, Luke Russe, Matt Swan, Toby Rennie (James Spruce, 65), Trialist, Harrison Chamberlain, Lewis Ellington, Jordan Carey, Dan Lammiman.
